About

Most custom tattoos look wrong on most people. Here is the reason.

Customized Temporary Tattoos makes transfers to order — full colour, white-underlay, metallic foil, glow and UV, kids’ multi-design sheets and kiss-cut packs.

Custom printed temporary tattoos with logo

Temporary tattoo inks are translucent. Printed straight onto skin, the colour mixes with whatever skin tone is underneath it.

So the design that looked right on the proof reads correctly on a pale forearm, turns muddy on medium skin, and effectively disappears on dark skin. The fix is a printed white layer underneath the colour, which most suppliers leave off by default and almost none mention. It is the single biggest reason custom tattoos come back looking nothing like the artwork.

We quote with and without it, we show you both on the mockup, and for anything going to a general audience we recommend it every time.

Why we exist

Tattoos get quoted on sheet size and quantity, from suppliers who never ask who is going to be wearing them.

So the underlay is missing and the colour vanishes on half the crowd. A big solid block of ink gets printed for a knuckle and cracks within hours. Somebody orders glow tattoos for a UV-lit club night, or UV tattoos for a room with no blacklight, and the entire run is wasted.

The white underlay

Colour sitting directly on skin borrows the skin tone. Colour sitting on a printed white layer is the colour you approved, on everybody.

The trade is a little more cost and a marginally more visible film edge. For a festival, a stadium or any public campaign that is not a close decision, and we will say so.

Design for skin that moves

A tattoo is a thin film on a surface that flexes constantly. A large solid block of colour breaks up at every crease; line art and small shapes move with the skin and last for days.

That is why placement matters more than print quality. A forearm or a shoulder is flat and lasts; a knuckle, a wrist or the inside of an elbow will not. We redraw artwork so it survives rather than letting it flake and calling it wear.

Glow and UV are not the same product

A glow tattoo is phosphorescent: it charges under any light and then glows in the dark on its own, fading as it discharges.

A UV tattoo does nothing in the dark. It is nearly invisible in daylight and fluoresces under a blacklight. If your venue has no blacklight, buy glow. If it is UV-lit, buy UV. We ask about the lighting before quoting because the wrong one is a wasted order.

It is a product applied to skin

Skin-safe colourants, a skin-safe adhesive, and a lot number printed on every sheet so a batch can be traced. Not on broken or irritated skin. Test a small piece first if skin is sensitive. Remove with oil or an alcohol wipe rather than scrubbing.

And a thing we will state plainly: these are surface transfers. They are not henna, and they are certainly not “black henna”, which can contain PPD and cause severe skin reactions. We do not sell it and we would advise against it.

How we price

No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with sheet size, finish, the white underlay, cutting and quantity, and it falls steeply into the thousands. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one.

What we will talk you out of

Skipping the underlay on a public campaign. A solid slab of foil across a knuckle. Glow tattoos for a blacklit room. And a sheet layout that fits two more designs but cannot be handed out at speed.

Every one of those costs us money to say and saves you more.
